Profile: Veronique Stern, EWT's new 2nd vice-president
Veronique Stern is the new 2nd vice-Presdient. She is married to to Edwin van der Geest. Veronique is a senior advisor for the executive board of the municipality of Hellevoetsluis on cultural affairs (art, museums, monuments, fortified city center) and European funding. She is also deputy head of the department of social affairs, team coordinator in Tourism, neighborhood management, events, culture and sports. Veronique is graduated in the French language and culture from the University of Leiden. She also attended various courses on management, presentation, writing skills and languages. Veronique Stern was former president and honorary member of Ladies’ Circle - The Netherlands and Ladies’ Circle 40 Voorne and former president of Ladies’ Circile International. She is a member of Soroptimistclub Voorne Putten en Rozenburg and also an individual member of Agora International. Motivation Veronique supports international understanding, friendship and exchange of ideas and experiences in all fields, she believes that it can make a difference and a better world for all. The new 2nd vice-President is proud of his fortified town and works with pleasure on its development. Hellevoetsluis municipality agrees on the objectives of the European Walled Towns. The municipality believes that it should work on these objectives and show the members what the possibilities and benefits are. Only then can Hellevoetsluis enlarge their network and membership. Hobbies Veronique likes writing poems and stories, gardening, flowers and reading.
